【TCS Outdoor Expedition | Moving Forward, Side by Side】

TCS high school students embarked on a two-day outdoor expedition along Taiwan’s northeast coast. From cycling and night camping to canoeing and raft-building, it wasn’t just a physical challenge—it was a journey of teamwork and growth.

"I'm usually the one taking care of them. But this time, they were the ones offering snacks, sharing sunscreen, and waiting at the bend when I fell behind with a leg cramp. They walked beside me."

Muriel, a student affairs coordinator with first aid certification, joined the trip expecting to assist from the sidelines. But along the way, she became the one receiving care—and saw students grow from being guided to taking initiative.

🚴‍♀️ “The students never expected me to lead just because I’m an adult. They treated me like a teammate—adjusting their pace and looking out for one another.”

🌊 “Before we launched our canoe, a student checked on me and shared their sunscreen. In that moment, I knew—we were on this journey together.”

🍱 “I didn’t bring lunch. A student noticed and offered a snack. It wasn’t planned. It was pure thoughtfulness in action.”

Throughout the trip, students weren’t just participants—they led, collaborated, and adapted in real time. “Good Job, Good Try, Good Learning” wasn’t just a motto—it was lived.

Muriel once said this would be her last OAEP trip. Now, she says: “To be continued.”
