Last Friday, TCS’s Christmas Shoebox Project, led by the Student Service Group, came to a heartfelt close with the participation of students and staff across the school.
From collecting shoeboxes and selecting school supplies to wrapping gifts and writing Christmas cards, every step was completed by the students themselves. Each shoebox reflects their care, creativity, and sincere wishes for others.
Muriel, an administrative mentor at TCS, shared, “What may seem like a small donation or an unused shoebox to us could become a meaningful and memorable moment for a child in a rural community.” She hopes students learn that service is not just about giving, but about connection and understanding.
At the end of the activity, students wrote down their hopes and blessings for the future and hung them on the Christmas tree, symbolizing the extension of warmth beyond the campus.
The shoeboxes will soon be delivered to rural schools in Hualien County.
May these small acts of kindness bring love and light to children this Christmas season.
