This visit to the Taoyuan Public Library became a journey of slow discovery.
Students moved through the space—from the Green Spiral and reading areas to themed shelves and quiet corners.
One highlight was the exhibition Rediscovering Taiwan: Chen Cheng-po’s 130th Birthday Anniversary Exhibition, where students paused to observe colour, composition, and the stories rooted in land and history.
The open atrium, known as the “Tree of Life,” left a strong impression.
In a space where sound travels easily, silence became part of the learning—
a gentle reminder that learning also includes how we share space with others.
During free reading time, there was even a small, smile-worthy moment:
one student became so absorbed in a book that they completely missed the meeting time.
Guided by thoughtfully designed worksheets,
students weren’t rushing to finish tasks,
but slowing down—observing, reflecting, and recording their own ideas along the way.
