【TCS “Legend of the Dragon’s Children” Chinese Competition | Hands-on, minds-on, voices-on—and plenty of laughter】




Last Frid󠀠ay, G7–G9 students at TCS took part in a dynamic and memorable Chinese competition.

The first half featured individual competitions held in classrooms, where students focused on brush calligraphy, hard-pen writing, and character form and meaning. The classrooms were filled with a calm, focused atmosphere as each character slowly took shape on paper.

The team competition then moved to the student cafeteria, shifting the mood to something lively and energetic. Competing by grade level, teams of 5–6 students tackled a wide variety of challenges—from local language and cultural knowledge to tongue twisters.

One of the most memorable moments came from the help cards: although teams could ask for assistance, the “rescue” turned out to be two foreign teachers—much to the students’ disbelief and laughter. With Mr. Lucio’s witty and engaging hosting, the competition was full of energy and smiles.

󠀠󠀠󠀠In the end, the G9 team kept their composure and claimed the championship. 👏

󠀠󠀠More than a test of language knowledge, this event allowed students to build focus, quick thinking, and teamwork—turning Chinese learning into lasting and joyful campus memories.
