In last Friday’s Life Design Lab, specially designed for our Grade 9 students,
learning began with self-understanding—planting the first seed for the future.
The session opened with a simple yet powerful metaphor:
the future we imagine is often filled with uncertainty and confusion,
but the future we actually live is built step by step, starting from the present.
Through group activities and dream board creation, students explored what they enjoy, what they value, the kind of life they envision, and their own personal strengths.
By sharing ideas and giving one another feedback, they also learned to see new possibilities from different perspectives.
There were no “right answers” in this class.
Instead, the focus was on gently guiding students toward a clearer understanding of themselves.
In a relaxed and lively learning environment, students freely shared their thoughts, listened to others, and gradually discovered their interests, recognized their values, and explored the many possibilities ahead.
