This AI Statistical Thinking course was led by Yi-Yuan Lee, PhD,
and had been taught to G9 students the week before.
At first glance, it might sound like a course that is highly technical and academically distant.
But once you step into the classroom, the experience feels entirely different.
While the core topic remained the same,
the lesson was thoughtfully adapted to suit students’ learning styles.
Compared to the more steady G9 group,
the G8 class featured shorter explanations paired with frequent games and interaction,
allowing students to explore statistics and decision-making through hands-on practice.
As the Texas Hold’em probability game began,
the energy in the room quickly rose.
The final round brought together the strongest teams,
and the sense of focus and excitement was immediately felt.
At TCS Experiential Learning Friday,
even the most complex ideas can become learning experiences that students truly understand and use.
