Work
In Jenaplan, "work" extends beyond academic tasks. For middle and high school students, it means engaging in meaningful projects, developing problem-solving skills, and fostering responsibility. Work is about deepening critical thinking, applying knowledge in practical ways, and taking ownership of one’s learning journey. It promotes independence, collaboration, and perseverance, preparing students for future challenges.

Play
For older students, play is about experimentation, innovation, and creative thinking. It encourages students to step outside traditional frameworks, explore new ideas, and engage with challenges in inventive ways. Play fosters resilience and adaptability, which are crucial for the fast-changing world they will enter.

Dialogue
Dialogue in Jenaplan is essential for developing communication, empathy, and critical thinking. For secondary students, it means engaging in meaningful, often complex discussions, where they learn to listen, express, and challenge ideas. Dialogue fosters a culture of mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and personal growth.

Celebration
Celebration in Jenaplan goes beyond acknowledging personal success; it involves celebrating growth, e ort, and the shared accomplishments of the community. At the middle and high school levels, celebration is about recognizing milestones, peer achievements, and cultural events that build a strong sense of identity and belonging.
